we have another little update for you.
We’ve changed the addresses (URLs) of the categories and topics in the forum module.
The new addresses look something like this:
http://blochmann.de.tl/Titel-des-Forums/topic-5-1-SampleTopic.htm
This is a big difference to before and looks a lot better with Russian or Turkish characters, for example:
http://blochmann.de.tl/Titel-des-Forums/topic-3-1-Russische-Zeichen-Желаю-счастья-удачи-везения.htm
Wrong URLs are corrected and automatically forwarded. This is important for search engines like Google to prevent so-called “duplicate content”.
In the old version of the forum module, special characters were displayed rather strangely in the URL.
Further improvements will follow!
For example, we’re planning a prettier URL-structure for your ‘regular’ sub-sites.
